Photo tips and guidance for a great start to your creation.

What type of photo works best for creating a toon?

Use a clear, well-lit, front-facing photo. Keep the intended subjects visible and avoid heavy filters, sunglasses, blur and distracting backgrounds.

What photo formats and file sizes can I upload?

Upload a JPEG, PNG or WebP image up to 10 MB. The image must be at least 128 × 128 pixels; a clear, higher-resolution photo usually gives better results.

Can I upload a photo taken on my phone?

Yes. Select a supported image from your phone or use Take Photo where available. If your phone saves HEIC images, export or convert the photo to JPEG, PNG or WebP first.

Can I replace my photo after uploading it?

Yes, before generation, use the replace or remove option to choose another photo. The replacement will be checked again and requires the applicable consent.

What photo should I upload for Family Toon Universe?

Use a clear group photo of all family members who should appear in the creation. Keep everyone’s face visible, well lit and unobstructed.

What photo should I upload for the Pet + Owner Collection?

Upload a clear photo of the owner and pet together. Make sure both the owner’s face and the pet are clearly visible and not cropped out.

What photo should I upload for the Friendship Collection?

Use a clear photo showing all friends who should appear in the creation. Make sure each face is visible and that you have permission to use everyone’s photo.

Will the same uploaded photo be used across the themes I select?

The selected photo is the source for the themes you generate within that creation. If a theme needs different subjects, follow its photo guidance and upload an appropriate photo before generating.
